As the newbie to the Hosmark team, I had the pleasure of spending 24 hours at the end of October getting to know the Hotel Palace Berlin.
The city itself was looking spectacular with the autumn colours in full display and the hotel could not be better placed to show them off, with far reaching views over the Tiergarten next door.
With over 30% of the city dedicated to greenspace and 430,000 trees, Hotel Palace Berlin makes a fantastic autumn event destination. As well as spring when the cherry blossom is in bloom, winter for the Christmas magic and summer for the numerous outdoor opportunities!! 😁
Hotel Palace Berlin very much encapsulates the charismatic character that Berlin is famous for. A heritage listed building from the cold war era, the property was built as a hotel post-war and remains privately owned by the same family.
Located within 5 minutes’ walk of the Zoologischer Garten station with regular direct services to Brandenberg Airport, as well as the rest of the city, and across the road from the zoo and just beyond that the Tiergarten, the hotel is within walking distance of many of Berlin’s historic sites.
The purpose of my visit was to get to know the hotel, and the fabulous Nadine, Director of Sales, provided an extensive showround of what they can offer.
With 278 bedrooms and 2600 sqm of meeting space, featuring 18 function rooms of various shapes, sizes and character (from intimate boardrooms to the Grand Ballroom which can host up to 900 seated guests). I was delighted by the number of spaces they are able to offer and more importantly that 16 of the 18 rooms offer views over Berlin.
For post-meeting, Restaurant Beef 45, an atmospheric retreat, can be hired exclusively, as can the hotels House of Gin Bar, which offers 150 different gins.
With weary feet after the site inspection (and a quick dash along the Ku’damm shopping boulevard for some German Christmas goodies!), I retired to the bar for a refreshing glass of Riesling and one of the best soups I have tasted in a long time, delicious!
The next day following a refuelling at the hotels breakfast food court (a fabulous offering!) and before my departure back to London, I had site inspections at two neighbouring hotels which offer many overflow options for larger groups.
Berlin is such a fantastic city and the team at Hotel Palace Berlin are passionate about their property and neighbourhood. Definitely one to add to the top of your list for a 2026/2027 event destination.
