I knew I was arriving somewhere special when my transfer pulled over and I was met by an open sided, off-road jeep. I hopped in, luggage strapped firmly down, and we meandered down a vertiginous bumpy track, through the mediterranean countryside, with glimpses of a glistening turquoise in the distance….
Arriving at Perdue (and Nautical, the adjacent hotel), is like stepping into a little secret paradise. Winding natural stone paths lead you down through the towering pine trees and bougainvillea clad archways to beautiful rocky coves that dot the coastline.

Nature is at the heart of both boutique hotels and the rooms reflect the simplicity of the setting. Perdue consists of 17 beautifully spacious safari tents, all with private terraces and unique touches – I had my very own natural swimming cove and found it difficult to extricate myself from the daybed and those views!

Nautical has a different feel, with 19 rustic stone cottages and villas, many with private pools, set slightly back from the coast, with twinkling views of the sea between the olive trees.
There are plenty of experiences to entice you away from the serenity of your hammock; from sea-side yoga sessions, an alfresco massage listening to the lapping of the waves, astrology sessions, to stunning walks along the historic Lycian way.
Or, of course, take to the water as we did in Le Perdue, the private yacht, where we sailed serenely between Fethiye and Gocek, stopping for refreshing dips in beyond-crystal clear coves and eating delicious borek with Turkish salads.
Soulsetters manages to capture the essence of real barefoot luxury and offers a very authentic experience in a simply stunning setting. I just needed my OOO on for a little longer!
